Mission Statement

The overall goal of the Committee Against Domestic violence (CADV) is to prevent and eliminate sexual assault and domestic violence in Elko, White Pine and Eureka counties through direct services to victims, community education, and prevention.

The specific objectives are to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through counseling, support, emergency shelter and food, survival skills, and referral to appropriate law enforcement or social services agencies.

Additionally, CADV seeks to prevent domestic violence through community awareness and educational programs designed to provide practical and useful information to the public and relevant agencies.

CADV believe that everyone has the right not to be abused, and that they are entitled to live their lives free of violence.
